Senior Database Developer (PostgreSQL)
YOUR IMPACT
You will play a key role in evolving a highly successful SaaS platform relied upon by customers worldwide. You will ensure that our data layer remains reliable, efficient, and capable of supporting the continued growth of our platform.Working closely with software developers, architects, customer support, and operations teams, your expertise will influence the long-term success of business-critical services.
AI-assisted software development is integral to our engineering approach. By effectively leveraging modern AI tools, you will help accelerate software delivery, improve code quality, and drive continuous innovation across our development organization.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
- Design, develop, and optimize database solutions for a large-scale OpenText SaaS platform
- Create, analyze, and optimize complex SQL queries
- Evolve relational data models to support scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Investigate and resolvedatabase reliability, availability, and data integrityissues
- Shape technical discussions and contribute to data architecture and platform design decisions
- Partner with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- At least 8 years of professional experience in software development, database development, or related fields
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Proven expertise in PostgreSQL, relational databases, and SQL
- Experience designing and optimizing database schemas and data models
- Extensive hands-on experience tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing database performance
- Fluent English and very good German language skills, both written and spoken
