About the role
Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to build, automate, and optimize our Data & AI infrastructure ecosystem. This role will be responsible for ensuring platform stability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency while enabling Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and AI teams to deliver products faster through modern DevOps, DataOps, and MLOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Platform Management
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based Data & AI infrastructure across AWS and Databricks environments.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and configuration management with Ansible.
- Administer and optimize data platforms including Databricks, Hadoop, Spark, AWS Glue, EKS, and S3.
- Manage networking and cloud infrastructure components including VPCs, proxies, security groups, and Kubernetes clusters.
DevOps, DataOps & MLOps Enablement
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and platform operations.
- Implement GitOps best practices using tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, and related automation frameworks.
- Configure and maintain Databricks ML environments to support machine learning model deployment and lifecycle management.
- Build automated DataOps and MLOps workflows to improve reliability, deployment speed, and operational efficiency.
Monitoring, Reliability & Performance
- Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using ELK/EFK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or equivalent technologies.
- Improve platform reliability, availability, and observability through proactive monitoring and incident management.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, platform, and deployment issues across development and production environments.
Collaboration & Architecture
- Partner closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and Product teams to deliver scalable data and AI solutions.
- Contribute to infrastructure architecture decisions and system design reviews.
- Recommend best practices for security, scalability, disaster recovery, and operational excellence.
Cost Optimization & Governance
- Monitor cloud resource utilization and optimize AWS infrastructure costs.
- Implement governance, access control, and operational standards across the platform ecosystem.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform efficiency and developer productivity.
Requirements
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
- Solid knowledge of GitOps , CI/CD, and DevOps practices using Jenkins, ArgoCD, or similar tools.
- Experience working with AWS services, including: EKS, S3, AWS Glue, RDS, ElastiCache, CloudWatch, VPC and networking services
- Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Databricks, Spark, Hadoop, and modern data platform technologies.
- Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK Stack, or equivalent tools.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
Architecture & Design
- Good understanding of system design, cloud architecture, and distributed systems principles.
- Knowledge of scalability, availability, security, and disaster recovery best practices.
- Ability to design robust infrastructure solutions that support data-intensive and AI workloads.
