About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Data Analyst, Risk Analytics to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space.
This role will focus on building risk analytics that strengthen fraud detection, improve operational decision-making, and support scalable transaction monitoring. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to turn data into practical actions that reduce risk and improve business outcomes. The position blends statistical analysis, experimentation, and automation to help the organization respond quickly to emerging patterns and anomalies. You will also contribute to reporting and vendor evaluation efforts that inform ongoing risk strategy.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $108,000 – $157,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Python-based fraud analysis models and data pipelines
- Design and execute statistical experiments, including A/B tests
- Develop and monitor internal fraud risk models with transaction data
- Incorporate AI tools into analytical workflows and automate repetitive tasks
- Conduct vendor performance assessments and inform decision-making
- Create dashboards and reports using Looker and SQL views
- Investigate operational anomalies and communicate actionable insights
- Collaborate across teams to translate analysis into practical actions
Qualifications
- 3+ years in fraud analytics, risk, fintech, or similar roles
- Strong Python skills for building analyses and data pipelines
- Proficient in SQL for complex data management
- Solid understanding of statistical methods for experimental design
- Experience with classification models and evaluation techniques
- Enthusiastic about leveraging AI tools in analytics
- Comfortable with ambiguity and problem definition
