Senior Cyber Security Engineer | Leading Classified Technology Organization | Central Israel
A leading classified technology organization in Central Israel is looking for an experienced Senior Cyber Security Engineer to provide professional and technological leadership across complex cybersecurity infrastructure environments.
The role combines secure network architecture, hands-on implementation of cybersecurity solutions, infrastructure hardening, AI-integrated security technologies, and cyber incident response, alongside leading technical teams and cybersecurity processes.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical and professional leadership across Cyber Security initiatives
- Design, implement, and deploy security solutions in complex infrastructure environments
- Design secure network architectures integrated with AI technologies
- Develop and adapt cybersecurity solutions to organizational and infrastructure requirements
- Work hands-on with network components and security infrastructure
- Define and implement security and infrastructure hardening policies
- Create and maintain security hardening documentation for network and infrastructure components
- Provide technical leadership during cybersecurity incident response
- Analyze cyber incidents and threats and develop solutions to reduce risk and prevent recurrence
- Lead technical teams and cybersecurity processes
- Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and technology teams across the organization
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of professional Cyber Security experience – required
- 2+ years of experience managing technology teams – required
- Proven experience implementing cybersecurity solutions in infrastructure environments – required
- Proven experience designing secure network architectures integrated with AI technologies – required
- Experience creating security and hardening documentation for network components – required
- Proven experience supporting and responding to cybersecurity incidents – required
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and information security
- Strong technical leadership and problem-solving capabilities
- Valid civilian Level 3 security clearance – required
Education – One of the Following Is Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Exact Sciences
- Another academic degree combined with at least 400 hours of professional Cyber Security training/certifications
- Academic degree combined with relevant professional experience in a recognized military technology unit, subject to applicable approval
