SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER – CIVIL SITE DIVISION
Compensation
- Salary: $135,000 - $175,000 per year (Based on education, qualifications, and experience.)
Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead its Civil Site Division . This position is responsible for managing land development projects from initial due diligence through final construction documentation, including site design, stormwater management, utility design, permitting, and project closeout.
The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer with extensive civil site development experience, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage civil site development projects from concept through project completion.
- Prepare and oversee due diligence reports, schematic designs, and construction plans.
- Design stormwater drainage systems and perform stormwater quality and quantity calculations.
- Design potable water, gravity sewer, and pressure sanitary sewer utility systems.
- Prepare and review construction drawings, technical specifications, and bid documents.
- Coordinate permitting activities and ensure timely regulatory approvals.
- Perform grading design, earthwork calculations, and site development reviews.
- Utilize AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D for engineering design and drafting.
- Prepare drainage reports and other technical engineering documentation.
- Apply HEC-RAS modeling techniques as required.
- Collaborate with internal project teams, clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 10+ years of civil site development and project management experience preferred.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD design and drafting.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of civil site development principles, including grading, drainage, utility design, and stormwater management.
- Experience preparing construction documents, technical specifications, and permitting packages.
- Knowledge of stormwater management reports and drainage calculations.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with HEC-RAS hydraulic modeling preferred.
