About This Role
Caring for individuals in need of personal care is the core of this role, providing essential support and assistance to enhance their quality of life. The position suits a compassionate and dedicated caregiver committed to ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being while maintaining dignity and respect for clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in health or behavior to appropriate personnel
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, adhering to hygiene standards
- Offer specialized care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Follow HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy at all times
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to individual needs
- Support clients in long-term care settings such as nursing homes or group homes as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in patient care is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality
- Strong observational skills with the ability to recognize changes in clients' conditions
- Compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families
- Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean environment for clients
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed
- Willingness to drive clients in your own vehicle
- Caregiving experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Driver's License (Required)
- Auto Insurance policy (Required)
