This senior caregiver role involves providing quality care and support to elderly clients, assisting with daily living activities, and promoting safety and comfort. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene
- Provide assistance with toileting, incontinence care, and changing briefs as needed
- Help clients with walking, transferring, repositioning, and mobility
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary
- Provide medication reminders in accordance with the care plan and applicable laws
- Monitor clients for changes in physical condition, behavior, or overall well-being and report concerns promptly
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and maintain a clean, safe living environment
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and meaningful activities
- Assist with appointments, errands, and transportation when required
- Follow individualized care plans and maintain client confidentiality
- Communicate professionally with family members, supervisors, and other care team members
- Provide assistance to clients who require extensive or full personal care, according to training and authorization
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care, home care, or personal care preferred
- Compassionate, patient, trustworthy, and dependable
- Ability to assist clients with mobility and daily living activities safely
- Good communication and observation skills
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate care records
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or required by the employer
- Must pass applicable background checks and meet employment requirements

- Schedule: Shifts may include daytime, overnight, weekend, or live-in care, depending on client needs
