Job Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst (Mainframe & API)
Location: Toronto, ON 4 days in office, 1 day work from home
Duration: 12 Months

What You'll Do: Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver technology initiatives.

Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and system requirements.

Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and technical user stories.

Write high-quality Jira user stories using Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodology.

Perform gap analysis and assess impacts to existing systems and processes.

Support API and Mainframe-related initiatives, including customer data inquiry and maintenance.

Partner with testing teams to define test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and expected results.

Ensure requirements traceability throughout design, development, testing, and deployment.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and program increment planning.

Support implementation, operational readiness, and post-production activities.

Recommend process improvements while promoting quality, scalability, and innovation.

Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience as a: Business Systems Analyst, Software Engineer, Quality Engineer

Strong hands-on experience working with Mainframe screens for customer data inquiry and maintenance.

Strong hands-on experience testing and validating APIs using Postman.

Experience working within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.

Strong experience writing BDD user stories.

Advanced experience using Jira and Confluence.

Strong testing, requirements validation, and gap analysis experience

Preferred Qualifications Experience working with customer data platforms.

Banking or financial services industry experience.

Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot or GitHub Copilot.

Business Analysis certifications.

Post-secondary diploma or degree
