Sr. Business Analyst
Remote out of Washington (PST)
Longterm Contract
$70/hr
Our client is seeking multiple Senior Business Analysts to support a large-scale Workers' Compensation Systems Modernization Program. This multi-year initiative is focused on transforming and modernizing core business processes, system interactions, and technology platforms that support workers' compensation operations.
The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled business analyst with experience documenting complex business processes, facilitating stakeholder workshops, and translating business requirements into actionable deliverables for technology and business teams. This individual will work closely with program leadership, subject matter experts (SMEs), product owners, architects, and technical teams to support the successful delivery of modernization objectives.
Looking for Senior Level Business Analysts that have the following:
- Demonstrated experience documenting complex business processes and system interactions in a large public-sector or insurance environment of similar size and complexity to Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I).
- Demonstrated experience facilitating and validating process documentation directly with subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio and Teams.
- Experience working within a formal program governance structure, including deliverable expectation documents and structured review and acceptance cycles.
- Experience with workers' compensation, insurance claims, or regulatory business processes is desired but not required.
- Experience with documenting Interaction Models a huge plus.
Preferred skills:
- 7+ years’ of experience
- Experience supporting Workers' Compensation, Insurance Claims, Disability Claims, Risk Management, or Regulatory Compliance programs.
- Previous experience on large-scale modernization, digital transformation, or legacy system replacement initiatives.
- Knowledge of Washington State government agencies or public sector operations.
- Experience documenting and facilitating Interaction Models across business and technical stakeholder groups.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Experience supporting enterprise application implementations or systems integrations.
