Job Summary
At ZF, Research and Development (RD), which plays a key role in shaping the future of mobility. Their RD team combines specific know-how in various technology fields with current trends in mobility, aiming to develop innovative solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Build PoCs and prototypes to validate architectural decisions, evaluate SoC platforms (MPU+MCU), OS stacks, middleware, and communication frameworks.
- Design and govern software partitioning and interaction between High Level OS and RTOS domains, including clear responsibility separation, performance, and real time behavior.
- Define software concepts for robust inter processor communication mechanisms aligned with automotive safety standards.
- Support integration, debugging, and validation activities
Requirements
- 6 to 10 years of experience in embedded software development or software architecture.
- Proven experience with complex ECU architectures or platform software development.
Your profile
- Strong expertise in embedded software architecture and design
- Experience with heterogeneous SoC platforms (MPU + MCU)
- Hands on knowledge of: High Level OS (Linux, QNX, or similar) RTOS environments Programming proficiency in C / C++
- Solid understanding of inter processor communication mechanisms
- Experience with Linux-based development environments
- Strong system level thinking across HWSW boundaries
- Automotive ECU or vehicle control system experience
- Exposure to AUTOSAR Classic and/or Adaptive concepts Functional safety awareness (ISO 26262)
