About the role

Summary
MathWorks has a hybrid work model that enables staff members to split their time between office and home. The hybrid model provides the advantage of having both in-person time with colleagues and flexible at-home life optimizations.

As a Senior Application Engineer supporting automotive customers, you will work closely with leading OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to address complex technical and business challenges and help them transform the way they develop next-generation vehicles. By combining your deep expertise in automotive systems modeling, control design, and simulation with an understanding of customer workflows, you will demonstrate how MathWorks solutions enable faster innovation, higher-quality designs, and more efficient development processes.

In this role, you will engage customers across key industry initiatives such as software-defined vehicles (SDVs), electrification, ADAS/AD, and data- and AI-driven development. Through technical discussions, demonstrations, and collaborative problem-solving, you will help customers realize the value of Model-Based Design and establish MathWorks as a trusted strategic partner.

MATLAB® and Simulink® from the foundation of MathWorks’ Model-Based Design platform, integrating data analysis, algorithm development, modeling and simulation, automatic code generation, testing, and verification in a single environment. This unified approach is increasingly critical as automotive organizations adopt virtual development, AI-enhanced workflows, and system-level optimization to manage growing system complexity.

As a successful Senior Application Engineer, you will leverage your experience in automotive control and system modeling to clearly articulate how Model-Based Design supports early validation, reuse across the development lifecycle, and scalable development of embedded software and systems.

MathWorks nurtures growth, appreciates inclusivity, encourages initiative, values teamwork, shares success, and rewards excellence.
