About the role
I’m currently supporting a leading global pharmaceutical organisation with the appointment of a Senior Process Commercialisation Engineer at their manufacturing site in Ireland.
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced API process engineer / process development professional who enjoys working at the point where process development, scale-up, technology transfer and commercial manufacturing come together.
The role will play a key part in bringing new products and technologies into commercial manufacture, as well as supporting transfers to and from the site.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Leading and supporting new product introductions and technology transfers
- Process development, optimisation and scale-up of chemical API processes
- Supporting commercial manufacturing campaigns and process readiness
- Troubleshooting technical issues and leading deviation investigations
- Working across process safety, validation, regulatory and environmental activities
- Identifying process constraints and opportunities for improvement
- Working closely with global R&D and cross-functional teams
- Providing technical leadership and developing subject matter expertise in API processing
We're particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have:
- 5+ years' experience in pharmaceutical API manufacturing or process development
- Strong knowledge of chemical API processing and scale-up
- Experience with commercialisation, NPI or technology transfer
- A track record of solving complex technical/manufacturing problems
- Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills
- A degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
This would suit someone who wants to take genuine technical ownership of bringing processes from development through to commercial manufacture , rather than focusing solely on day-to-day production support.
