Senior Android Developer
Location: Irving, TX – 5 Days Onsite
Type: 6+ Months Contract
Pay Rate: $70/hr on W2
Role Summary
Seeking a Senior Android Developer with 5+ years of hands-on native Android development experience using Kotlin and/or Java . The role will focus on building scalable, secure, high-performance Android applications for store and customer-facing experiences while collaborating with Product, Design, Backend, QA, Security, and Operations teams.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of native Android development with Kotlin/Java; 7+ years overall software engineering experience.
- Strong Android SDK/framework knowledge, including lifecycle, threading, background execution, networking, permissions, storage, and device compatibility.
- Experience with MVVM, Clean Architecture, Dependency Injection, modular design, and reusable components.
- Strong experience integrating REST APIs, JSON, authentication, caching, offline/limited-connectivity solutions.
- Hands-on performance profiling and optimization, including memory, CPU, battery, startup time, responsiveness, and crash reduction.
- Experience with device performance testing across Android hardware, OS versions, screen sizes, and form factors.
- Experience with unit testing, automated UI testing, Git, CI/CD, build automation, and production support.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and code review/mentoring skills.
