About This Role
This senior engineering role focuses on building a next-generation AI Virtual Companion for operation planning and optimization. The engineer will use Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic AI to create intelligent systems that can reason, retrieve information, and act autonomously, working at the intersection of software engineering, data science, and ethics.
Responsibilities
- Design, test, and iterate prompts that improve reasoning, factuality, and user experience
- Build, manage, and orchestrate agentic workflows involving tool calling, reasoning loops, memory management, skills orchestration, and multi-step task execution
- Implement guardrails, monitoring, and validation mechanisms to ensure AI systems remain safe, reliable, and ethically grounded
- Lead the technical direction of AI initiatives by driving architecture decisions, establishing best practices, mentoring team members, and guiding the end-to-end delivery of scalable AI solutions
- Work with Product Owner, Developers, Quality Engineers, and UX Designers to deliver the Virtual Companion
- Contribute to sprint planning, code reviews, and documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above
- 5-8 years in software development and relevant experience in leading AI/ML development projects
- Strong grasp of LLM fundamentals, including tokens, temperature, top-p, and context windows
- Ability to design, optimize, and evaluate prompts to improve AI behavior, reasoning, and response quality
- Proficiency in Python
- Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar LLM API integration
- Hands-on experience working with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph involving tool calling, reasoning loops, memory management, skills orchestration, and multi-step task execution
