Senior Accounting Analyst, Accounting

About This Role

This senior accounting analyst role supports all aspects of the financial reporting process within the Indian accounting organization, which handles accounting, financial reporting, internal control, intercompany, and transfer pricing activities. The position requires a strong sense of ownership, the ability to identify process improvement opportunities, and to drive positive change across the organization. It suits a candidate with significant experience in financial accounting, reporting, and internal control.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly/quarterly accounting and analysis of a business vertical
• Prepare monthly accruals relating to the business vertical
• Drive efficiencies in business processes and guide business teams on accounting areas
• Evaluate accounting positions for new projects and write technical position papers
• Partner with members of the global accounting organization to develop process improvement initiatives and assist in identifying standards for global consistency
• Coordinate with auditors for timely closure of statutory and tax audits

Requirements

• 3+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience
• 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
• 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
• 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

Nice to have:

• 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• MBA or CPA
• Knowledge of Tableau
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
• Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
