About the role
A leading financial services organisation seeks a Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager in Hong Kong to strengthen financial accuracy, deliver business insights, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive reliable financial performance across the wider organisation and business.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records across the business
- Assist in preparing periodic financial statements, management reports, and regulatory submissions
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
- Perform account reconciliations and review financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis
- Partner with internal stakeholders to provide finance support and business insights
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and professional service providers
Candidate profile:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
- Around 3+ years' accounting, financial reporting, audit, or finance experience
- Experience within financial services, banking, lending, insurance, or corporate environments would be advantageous
- Open to candidates with commercial industry background
- Professional qualification such as HKICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia, or equivalent is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting or ERP systems
- Good command of English and Chinese; Mandarin capability is an advantage
