Senior Accountant

About This Role

Working closely with an experienced finance team, the Senior Accountant will expand their expertise in general ledger accounting, month-end close, payroll accounting, financial reporting, and audit support. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with at least two years of experience who is looking to contribute to meaningful process improvement initiatives in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaid expenses, payroll, and other general ledger transactions
• Support monthly and year-end close activities
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules
• Analyze account activity, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with payroll accounting, including payroll taxes, bonuses, incentives, compensation accruals, and employee benefit expenses
• Support financial reporting and maintain accurate accounting records
• Assist with internal and external audit requests by preparing reconciliations and supporting documentation
• Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting controls
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency
• Collaborate with accounting, finance, payroll, and business partners across the organization

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience in general ledger, staff accounting, corporate accounting, or month-end close environments
• Understanding of account reconciliations, accrual accounting, and financial reporting
• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP principles and accounting best practices
• Strong Excel, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges
