Security Technician

About This Role

This Security Service Technician role involves servicing and maintaining advanced security systems for commercial customers in Sydney, as well as managing small to medium upgrades and fit-out projects. It suits a security professional who enjoys varied work, strong customer relationships, and hands-on technical problem-solving, with opportunities for career development into project delivery, commissioning, technical leadership, sales, and management.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair security systems across customer sites
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and system inspections
• Deliver small to medium security upgrades and fit-out projects
• Commission newly installed security systems
• Prepare quotations for repair works and recommended upgrades
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide expert technical support
• Coordinate with subcontractors and internal project teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Support the wider Projects Team across new and existing customer sites

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar security technician role
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding experience
• Sound networking, systems and PC knowledge
• Experience installing, servicing and commissioning electronic security systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
• Australian working rights
• Current NSW Driver Licence
• Current Security Licence
• Current Cabling Registration
• White Card (Construction Induction Card)

Nice to have:

• Experience or certifications in Gallagher, C-CURE or Integrity
