Security Officer - Unarmed

About This Role

This unarmed security officer role involves protecting people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies. The officer maintains a safe and secure environment, serves as a helpful professional resource, and ensures compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm
• Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage
• Uphold company policies, safety regulations, and legal compliance standards
• Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access
• Perform conflict resolution and de-escalation
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits
• Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, and entry points to identify potential security risks
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record required
• Valid Arizona Unarmed Guard Card required
• Above average computer / technology skills needed
• Ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and remain vigilant throughout shift
• Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation
• Strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities
• Willingness to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
