About This Role
This part-time Security Officer role involves serving and safeguarding clients in commercial real estate, focusing on patrol and badge verification. It suits someone who can work a flexible schedule and deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional presence.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate to the location
- Respond to incidents, building concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with property management and first responders as needed
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to identify unusual activity and/or maintenance or access concerns
- Monitor access points and observe site activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, trespassing, and/or policy violations while maintaining a professional presence
- Support daily operations at a commercial real estate location by reporting hazards, assisting with directional inquiries, and following post orders related to after-hours access, deliveries, and tenant requests
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
