Security Officer Information Desk

About This Role

Serving and safeguarding clients at a healthcare location is the primary focus of this Security Officer role. You will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor activity from a stationary post, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and care. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location
• Monitor visitor access at the front desk, verify identification and/or credentials, and maintain entry logs in accordance with site policies
• Answer phones, greet employees, patients, vendors, and visitors, and communicate directions, policies, and security-related information in a professional manner
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity to the appropriate contacts
• Support a healthcare location by helping to deter unauthorized access, maintaining awareness of lobby activity, and documenting security-related events and/or concerns

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
