Security Officer - Front Desk

About This Role

This part-time Security Officer position offers a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts. It is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related responsibilities at the front desk
• Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or appointments, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor logs
• Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries to appropriate personnel, and communicate visitor arrivals, deliveries, and driver check-ins to site contacts
• Monitor front-desk communications, alarms, and/or camera systems as assigned, reporting unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders when needed

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only

Important Details

• Schedule: Day Time Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fixed-Shift Commitment: six (6) month commitment for the designated site and weekly shift
