About This Role
This security officer role involves protecting people, property, and assets at various client sites. The work includes static guarding, access control, patrols, and incident response, requiring a professional and approachable presence.
Responsibilities
- Conduct static guarding and/or mobile patrols of assigned sites
- Control access to premises and manage visitor entry/exit
- Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and site activity
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and security breaches calmly and professionally
- Complete accurate incident reports, occurrence logs, and handover notes
- Provide a visible, professional security presence
- Liaise professionally with clients, staff, contractors, and the public
- Ensure compliance with site safety, security procedures, and company standards
- Assist with basic safety inductions where required
Requirements
- Current Western Australian Security Officer Licence
- Certificate II in Security Operations (CPP20218)
- Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011 or equivalent)
- Right to work in Australia
- Reliable transport and a current driver’s licence (preferred but not essential for all sites)
- Ability to pass a National Police Check
- Professional presentation and strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability for day, night, and weekend shifts
Nice to have:
- Previous experience in construction site, commercial, or industrial security
- Working with Children Check
- Crowd Controller licence
- Experience with access control systems or basic report writing
