Security Officer

About This Role

This security officer role is critical to ensuring the safety and security of one of the world’s most advanced technology environments, a global data centre. You will be responsible for protecting people, assets, and sensitive information while maintaining compliance with strict security protocols. The role suits a highly motivated and vigilant security officer.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the data centre, ensuring only authorised personnel enter secure areas
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility to identify and report any security risks or breaches
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies in accordance with established procedures
• Maintain accurate logs, audits, reports, and documentation of security activities
• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to uphold security standards

Requirements

• NV1 Security Clearance
• Valid Security Licence
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Ability to obtain a White Card
• Previous experience in security operations, preferably in high-security or critical infrastructure environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
• Skills in relationship-building with internal and external stakeholders
• Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond to incidents

Important Details

• Shift: rotating (day/night/weekend) - must be 24/7 available
