Security Manager

About This Role

Taking on responsibility for security in a dynamic and demanding environment is the core of this role. You will lead the security team with expertise, strong leadership, and a high awareness of quality, ensuring that security standards are always maintained and further developed at the highest level.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and continuously develop the security team
• Act as the central contact person for ASGS, as well as internal and external stakeholders on security matters
• Develop, implement, and continuously optimize security and emergency concepts
• Conduct and accompany security audits to ensure compliance with legal, official, and internal requirements
• Plan, organize, and conduct training in evacuation (EVAK), fire protection, security, and first aid
• Analyze accidents, security incidents, and near misses, and derive and implement preventive measures
• Plan, coordinate, and implement event security
• Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for emergency services, external security service providers, and authorities

Requirements

• Completed training as a Security Assistant ASGS or a comparable security-relevant qualification; further education or training in security, risk, or crisis management is an advantage
• Several years of sound professional experience in object security, event security, occupational safety, health protection, and fire protection - ideally in a hotel, convention, or comparable 24/7 operation
• Demonstrable leadership experience and enjoyment in training, motivating, and developing employees
• Very good understanding of legal requirements, official regulations, and internal compliance standards
• Strong analytical skills and a structured, solution- and risk-oriented approach
• Experience in collaborating with external partners, authorities, and emergency services, as well as a confident demeanor as a central contact person
• High resilience, decisiveness, and professionalism, even in stressful and crisis situations
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including night, weekend, and public holiday shifts
• Hands-on mentality with operational experience in security and event areas (e.g., access controls, situation assessments, deployment coordination)
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills (C2 level each); additional language skills are a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and affinity for digital security and documentation systems
• High integrity, sense of responsibility, and loyalty
• Impeccable reputation (no entries in criminal or debt collection registers)
