About This Role
This role is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and property within a luxury hotel environment. It involves supporting various department activities to maintain high levels of guest and employee service, and assisting in the training of security officers and other employees on safety and security procedures.
Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Security in the overall security and safety of the Hotel, service professionals, and guests
- Assist in leading daily operations within the Security Department to ensure a safe working environment is maintained
- Ensure that safety hazards are identified and reported, along with any suspicious or unusual activities or behaviors
- Assist in creating and implementing safety measures and procedures to enforce the code of conduct
- Create and implement Standard Operation Procedures
- Provide training and onboarding of new officers
- Complete administrative duties
- Partner with the Director of Security in colleague coaching and counseling sessions
- Create schedules
- Work in a safe, professional, and organized manner
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience in a similar position, preferably in a luxury environment
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in conducting safety and security assessments and training
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with GuardTek and MS Office products is preferable
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Excellent organizational skills
- Experience in de-escalation is critical
- Must be detailed oriented
- Excellent computer skills
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process

Important Details
- Schedule: flexible, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Reporting to: Director of Security
Physical Demands
- Most work tasks are performed indoors with moderate temperature controlled by hotel environmental systems
- Walking and standing are required for most of the working day, including traveling to and from meetings
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously
