Security Manager

About This Role

Leading the company's security operations is the core of this role, which involves developing and implementing effective security strategies and conducting risk assessments. This position suits a candidate with strong leadership abilities, keen attention to detail, and a proven track record in security management, ensuring a safe and secure environment for employees, customers, and company assets. This role requires sound judgment under pressure and the ability to proactively identify and address potential security risks before they escalate.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect company assets, employees, and customers
• Conduct risk assessments, threat analyses, and security audits to identify vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, and maintain physical security measures such as access controls, surveillance, and alarm systems
• Monitor security operations, including patrols, inspections, and incident response
• Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, breaches, and emergencies following established protocols
• Coordinate with external security agencies, law enforcement, and regulatory authorities to address incidents, emergencies, and investigations
• Train and educate employees on security protocols, emergency procedures, and crisis management to build security awareness and preparedness
• Manage security personnel, contractors, and vendors, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback
• Maintain accurate records of security incidents, investigations, and corrective actions taken
• Stay current on security trends, technologies, and best practices, recommending and implementing improvements to security programs and systems
• Perform other duties as requested by management

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in security management, law enforcement, or military roles
• Bachelor's degree or Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field
• Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies
• Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Crisis management and problem-solving skills
• Adaptability and flexibility in responding to security incidents and emergencies
• Proficiency in security management software, surveillance systems, and Microsoft Office suite

Nice to have:

• Hospitality experience, particularly within a 5-star resort or similar luxury environment
• Understanding of the importance of a service-oriented culture and its role in a security team's approach within a hospitality/resort setting

Important Details

• Schedule: varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays; remain alert during overnight shifts
