Sector Manager - Team Sports / Running / Footwear / Water Sports / Racquet Sports

About This Role

This sector manager role involves developing sales and profitability within specific sports universes, including leisure footwear, running, team sports, racquet sports, and water sports. The manager will lead and supervise a team of department managers and sales advisors, ensuring adherence to the INTERSPORT concept. This position suits a passionate salesperson with a strong understanding of sports products, excellent commercial acumen, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Control and ensure product placement complies with merchandising standards
• Analyze performance, quality, order, and after-sales service indicators for departments
• Ensure correct price application and product availability
• Control merchandise flows and monitor stock levels in departments
• Manage customer disputes and returns of defective products
• Give meaning to team actions (click&collect, home delivery, loyalty card)
• Lead team meetings and daily briefs/debriefs
• Implement action plans to achieve commercial objectives for the store and its universes
• Support and train department managers within your sector
• Support, train, and ensure the success of sales advisors in their sales activities and customer experience delivery
• Participate in recruitment and integrate new employees
• Develop the free INTERSPORT loyalty card, a major focus of the company's development

Requirements

• Passion for sales
• Ideally, practice a sport activity that provides better knowledge of products and accessories within the sports universes
• Proactive and able to anticipate customer needs
• Enthusiastic and unifying, with diplomacy and pedagogical skills to guide the team
• Ideally, a Bac+3 level education in sales, commerce, or management, or at least 3 years of initial experience
• Good command of sales techniques acquired in the sports goods or footwear distribution sector
