About the role

Duties

The incumbent serves as Secretary to the Columbia ATC Tower in Columbia, SC. Primary duties include but are not limited to the following: Using office and clerical skills to provide assistance to the Management team; providing all levels of administrative support; providing time and attendance (T&A) support; preparing correspondence and reports in formats such as word processing and spreadsheets; processing incoming correspondence and tasks, ensuring timely and accurate distribution and follow up; performing daily collection and distribution of facility mail; maintaining facility files, including administrative and personnel; making travel arrangements; maintaining facility master directive/notice library; making administrative arrangements for visitors and conferences; designing and maintaining automated standard forms using Microsoft Word, or Adobe Acrobat; and planning, organizing and taking notes for staff meetings and teleconferences. This is a Part-Time position.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to FV-D, FG/GS 3-6, in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in, or related to, the position to be filled. Specialized experience may include but is not limited to: reviewing and typing correspondence, maintaining time and attendance records, maintaining and updating files, and experience with computer software programs.
