Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Architecture and Design: Lead the design and architecture of large-scale systems. Ensure that systems are scalable, secure, and maintainable as we grow.
• Technical Leadership: Take a lead role in guiding and mentoring junior engineers. Help set coding standards, provide feedback, and foster a culture of technical excellence.
• Development: Work hands-on with the development team to build high-quality, reliable software. Contribute to code reviews, write production-level code, and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define product requirements, set priorities, and deliver quality software on time.
• Innovation and Strategy: Contribute to the technical strategy and vision. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and tools to bring innovative solutions to the company's challenges.
• System Optimization and Performance: Focus on performance tuning, optimizing existing systems, and addressing technical debt to ensure system efficiency and reliability.
• Scalability and Reliability: Ensure that systems are designed with scalability and high availability in mind to support rapid growth.
• Problem-Solving: Take ownership of critical technical challenges, solving them in a way that aligns with the overall goals of the company.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 4+ years of experience in software development, with at least 1+ year in a technical leadership role.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in languages, e.g., Python, Java, Go, etc.
• Deep understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, cloud technologies, and scalable architecture.
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data storage technologies.
• Experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and modern software deployment techniques.
• Proficient in performance tuning and optimization of complex systems.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience building and deploying highly available and fault-tolerant systems.

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities, with a focus on building a collaborative and high-performing team.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of discussing complex technical ideas with non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment, handling ambiguity and evolving priorities.
• A growth mindset, with a passion for learning and continuous improvement.
