About This Role
This role is for a talented and creative screenwriter who is passionate about storytelling and wants to join a team that values innovation and continuous development. The position involves developing concepts, writing scripts, and collaborating with production teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop story concepts and ideas, including brainstorming, research, and character creation
- Write scripts, including dialogue, scene descriptions, character actions, and other essential production information
- Structure narratives by creating acts, sequences, and character arcs
- Create authentic and relevant dialogues that reflect character personalities and drive the narrative
- Collaborate with directors, producers, other screenwriters, and technical team members, and make revisions and adjustments based on feedback
- Adapt literary works, comic books, or other existing materials into audiovisual format
- Conduct extensive research to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of the story, especially for stories based on real facts or specific contexts
- Review and edit scripts to improve narrative quality and eliminate inconsistencies or errors
- Deliver scripts within established deadlines
- Monitor production, helping to clarify script doubts and ensuring the original vision is maintained
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Advertising and Marketing, Journalism, Audiovisual, or Cinema
- Solid experience as a screenwriter
- Knowledge of task management software, especially Trello and Notion
- Ability to balance organization and a sense of urgency
- Good interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication
- Proactivity, agility, and ease in conflict management
- Ability to work in a team
- Organization, responsibility, and commitment to deadlines
- Mandatory portfolio presentation containing examples of previously written scripts
