About This Role
This seasonal position involves recording scores and times, either manually or electronically, for various sports leagues and tournaments. Applications are reviewed continuously based on seasonal needs.
Responsibilities
- Keep a recorded book of the running score, fouls, and time-outs for various leagues/tournaments in accordance with sport/program rules
- Provide on-site operational support for leagues/tournaments
- Manage emergencies and safety measures beyond the scope of team managers in accordance with the policies and procedures manual
- Handle any situations on-site that may arise such as protests, official no-shows, rule questions, inclement weather, and incidents
- Understand and interpret sport-specific rules and County procedures
- Deliver recorded book to the coordinator in a timely manner
Requirements
- Knowledge of current rules of the sport and the ability to interpret them
- Ability to deal with sometimes difficult individuals
- Ability to understand and interpret specific tournament rules and County procedures
- Two (2) years knowledge of the rules of the specific sport
- Legally authorized to work in the United States under the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986

- Prior experience working as a scorekeeper
