Scientist, Research Scientist, Clinical Research

About This Role

This role is for a Scientist I, responsible for basic complexity laboratory projects and generating test data according to specified protocols to support New Product Development and Manufacturing. The position is part of the Global Filter Performance and Lab Ops team and is an on-site role.

Responsibilities

• Review job requests, relevant safety data, and fully understand testing requirements in accordance with laboratory SOPs
• Perform test work according to laboratory request requirements
• Record raw data directly onto datasheets or electronically, immediately notifying laboratory management of any test delays, problems, or deviations
• Review timelines and discuss schedule conflicts or modifications with laboratory management (and project manager, where necessary)
• Correctly operate, understand, and be able to troubleshoot all equipment/instrumentation necessary to support testing
• Understand how various laboratory systems (including purchasing, calibration, materials inventory) are maintained
• Responsibility for maintenance of such a system may be assigned

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent in a Biological Science or the equivalent work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories and concepts
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques and measurement methods
• Strong analytical skills to analyze test results and interpret data
• Work safely and comply with the company’s health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures
• Conversant with PC based programs

Nice to have:

• Previous experience with understanding of GMP regulations

• Contract: 12 Months Fixed Term Contract
• Team: Reports to Manager, Fast Trak Validation Services and is part of Global Filter Performance and Lab Ops.
