Scientist (Aquaculture)
[What you will be working on]
· Lead technical teams or projects as Principal Investigator to develop technical strategies for project execution, oversee efficient and proper execution of project activities and ensure timely delivery of quality outputs.
· Continuously keep current with aquaculture trends and development to drive innovation in technical aspects as a subject matter expert in his/her field of expertise.
· Mentor junior colleagues to help build team technical competency and teamwork for smooth execution and completion of project within the project timeframe.
· Handle project administration and procurement tasks while ensuring fiscal prudence for efficient budget management and utilization
· Perform work activities to support Aquaculture Innovation Centre’s work functions, role and responsibilities.
· Comply and uphold laboratory, facility and farm biosecurity requirements and housekeeping needs.
[What we are looking for]
· Minimum 3 years of relevant aquaculture experience in pilot-scale or commercial settings with a track record of securing R&D grants or publishing scientific research.
· Candidates with experience in aquaculture business development would be preferred.
· Efficient in using statistical tools and AI software for data management, report writing and presentation.
· Clear-minded with ability to prioritize work activities to keep track and update project progress to RO or lead PI timely.
· Alert and responsive to identify and improve work processes for better work efficiency and output.
