Science Teacher

About This Role

This temporary full-time teaching position, starting in January 2027, involves teaching Science to secondary students. The role of Classroom Teacher supports students' growth in faith and learning, helping them reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church
• Create and maintain an orderly, safe, and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L
• Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning
• Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in Science
• Use a range of assessment strategies and analyze data to inform student learning
• Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers, and the wider school community

Requirements

• Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area(s)
• Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW
• Registered to teach with NESA
• Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment with CEDoW
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Schedule: full-time
• Contract: temporary, commencing 28 January 2027 until 20 December 2027
