Science Teacher

About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious teacher to join Kingsbury School from January 2027. You will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students to develop scientific knowledge, curiosity about the world around them, and the confidence to achieve well. This role suits a teacher who loves their subject, enjoys working with young people, and believes that every student can succeed.

Responsibilities

• Join a supportive and collaborative faculty committed to delivering an ambitious and engaging Science curriculum
• Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Help students to develop secure scientific knowledge, curiosity about the world around them, and the confidence to achieve well
• Combine high expectations with excellent relationships
• Know students well
• Explain new ideas clearly
• Model effectively
• Check understanding and respond to what students know and can do
• Be ambitious for every student, including disadvantaged students and those with SEND
• Work in a school where improving classroom practice matters
• Share ideas, resources, and expertise with colleagues
• Contribute to the development of a strong faculty

Requirements

• Be passionate and enthusiastic about teaching Science
• Be an excellent classroom practitioner, or an ECT with the potential to become one
• Engage, enthuse, and motivate young people
• Have high expectations of students' learning, behaviour, and achievement
• Be ambitious for the achievement of every student, regardless of background or starting point
• Be committed to inclusive classroom practice and meeting the needs of all learners
• Be reflective and keen to continue developing your teaching
