About This Role
Teaching and implementing the Cambridge IGCSE Science curriculum is the core of this role, ensuring consistency with the school's philosophy, policy, and practice. The teacher will create an excellent learning environment that meets the needs of all students, preparing them for a globalized, tech-driven future.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively in the planning and delivery of the curriculum to ensure students receive suitable academic education and challenges
- Plan developmental and appropriate lessons that foster the social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and moral growth of the students
- Undertake position as a teacher/tutor/homeroom and CCA if required, in a way which reflects the school’s vision, mission and values
- Assess, record and monitor students’ work to ensure that students make progress in their learning
- Apply effective teaching methods based on recommendations of modern education research and practices
- Participate actively in continuous professional development programmes, workshops and external training to upgrade pedagogical skills
- Participate in supervisory duties and support co-curricular activities as required
- Undertake any additional duties and responsibilities, attend school functions and participate in school meetings as required
- Demonstrate international mindedness in all areas of work and display respect for diverse cultures, languages and traditions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree / Professional Degree in Mathematics or equivalent
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Up-to-date knowledge and experience of the Cambridge curriculum as well as national curriculum
- Collaborative leadership style, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible and adaptable to change, growth and development
- Ambitious, hard-working, motivated and a strong role model
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of Mandarin
- At least 2 years of working experience in the related field (fresh graduates are welcome)

- Locations: Orbix International School Klang, Selangor; Muar (reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work)
