About the role
Step into a rewarding opportunity providing speech-language pathology services for students in a supportive educational environment near Marshall, MI. This full-time contract role offers up to 40 hours per week, primarily serving early childhood and PreK-12th grade students. As an onsite provider, you’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to help students develop their communication skills and achieve their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license issued by Michigan (MI)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience in a school setting, especially with early childhood or PreK-12 populations, is preferred
- For Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates, a supervisor must be arranged prior to placement
- Must provide verification of licensure via the Michigan Department of Education
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of each student
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in line with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other educational team members to support academic and social success
- Maintain thorough documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Engage with families and caregivers to provide education and resources that support generalization of communication skills beyond the classroom
This position is strictly onsite, not available for remote or virtual (VOCO) provisions.
