School Psychologist

About This Role

This short-term School Psychologist role involves providing therapy services, conducting assessments, and developing IEP plans for PreK-12 students in a school setting. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a passion for working with students with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy services to students
• Conduct assessments
• Develop IEP plans
• Evaluate and manage eligibility processes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents)
• Support students according to their IEP
• Perform evaluations, consultation, eligibility and diagnostics, and student services

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in School Psychology
• State License and/or School Psychologist and Department of Education (where required)
• Knowledge of Counseling and Psychological Assessment
• Experience working with children and adolescents
• Organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in use of technology
• Fingerprint background clearance

Nice to have:

• NASP License
• 2+ years of experience

Important Details

• Employment type: part-time (20 hours) or full-time (37.5 hours) positions available
• Contract: short term November 2026-January 2027
• Grades: K-12
• Work format: on-site, in person
• Dual support from the District and TheraPeds
• Manageable caseloads
• This position will be a W-2 employee or a 1099 contractor

Physical Requirements

• Employees must be able to perform necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
