School Psychologist

About This Role

Working collaboratively with school staff, students, and parents, this part-time role delivers a school-based wellbeing and learning support program. The program provides evidence-based, neuro-affirming support that strengthens student outcomes in areas such as ADHD education, executive functioning, emotional regulation, time management, and relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional development sessions for school staff, offering evidence-based and neuro-affirming information about ADHD and practical classroom strategies to enhance student learning and wellbeing outcomes
• Adapt student group program session content to meet place-based needs in a developmental and age-appropriate format
• Support students to build executive functioning skills
• Provide take-home activities and work alongside school staff members to embed program learnings
• Conduct parent or guardian sessions to support consistency for students between school and home
• Provide parents and guardians with practical parenting strategies and evidence-based information to support student growth

Requirements

• Psychology degree and eligibility for AHPRA registration and to provide Medicare services
• Minimum five years' experience working with children with ADHD, including delivery of practical, evidence-based supports for students, families, and school staff
• Current Working with Children Check
• Ability to travel to school and service sites across the metropolitan area and provide online sessions where required

Important Details

• Schedule: 3 days per week
• Contract: 3 days a week for Term 4 2026 or for the School year 2027
