About the role
Step into a meaningful position as a School Counselor, providing much-needed support and guidance to students in an engaging K-12 setting. This full-time, on-site contract role offers you a chance to make a true impact while working closely with both students and educational staff. With a caseload to be announced soon, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the school community and help foster academic, personal, and social growth until the end of the 2026-27 school year.
Key Qualifications
- Valid school counseling certification (state requirements apply)
- Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling, or a closely related field
- Previous experience working with students in educational settings highly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with administrators, teachers, parents, and outside agencies
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
- Flexibility and adaptability with changing student needs and caseload
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to students on academic, social, and emotional topics
- Address student crises, conflicts, and behavioral concerns with sensitivity and professionalism
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to design interventions and support plans
- Assist with development and implementation of school-wide programs supporting student success
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in line with professional standards
- Encourage a positive and inclusive school environment
- Participate in parent meetings, staff training, and professional development as required
