Location: Savannah, GA (serving Savannah and Hilton Head Island)

Office Hours: Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm

On-Call Hours: Mon-Fri, 5p-9a; Sat/Sun All Day (Rotates on a weekly basis among office staff to ensure full coverage.)

FirstLight Home Care is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and proactive Scheduler to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our clients receive exceptional care by matching caregivers with client needs while maintaining efficient staffing coverage.

Position Summary

The Scheduler is responsible for coordinating caregiver schedules, filling open shifts, managing last-minute call-offs, and maintaining strong communication with clients and caregivers. Success in this role requires flexibility, urgency, and outstanding customer service.

Open Availability is Required

This position requires open availability, including the ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Because home care operates 24/7, scheduling needs can change quickly, and the Scheduler must be available to respond to staffing challenges outside of traditional business hours when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Schedule caregivers based on client needs, availability, and compatibility.
• Fill open shifts quickly and efficiently.
• Respond to call-offs, schedule changes, and emergency staffing needs.
• Communicate professionally with clients, caregivers, and office staff.
• Maintain accurate scheduling records in scheduling software.
• Coordinate with the care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Monitor staffing levels and proactively address coverage gaps.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while balancing multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Previous scheduling, staffing, healthcare, or home care experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with computers and scheduling software.
• Reliable, dependable, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Application Question(s):

• The after-hours on call phone rotates among office staff to ensure there is always someone to manage the caregivers, as some of them provide 24 hr or weekend care. Are you available to work on-call after hours at least 1 week out of the month?

Experience:

• Scheduling: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• CPR Certification (Required)

Ability to Commute:

• Savannah, GA 31406 (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 50% (Preferred)
