About This Role

This Scheduler opportunity is a unique role that will allow you to learn more about GEA Nutrition Plant Engineering Technology and be a part of a new phase in the mission of delivering exceptional technology to customers. The role will have some crossover with initial start of work traveling to the Hudson, WI facility to support the Fabrication workshop's transition to Janesville, WI.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain production, work, and shipment schedules
• Maintain production capacity schedule and forecast
• Prioritize work orders to ensure an optimization of resources
• Confer with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates
• Assist in solving production problems
• Interact with shop floor management daily to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies
• Provide additional information as requested from Manufacturing and Project Managers
• Compile status and performance reports and submit them to management in a timely manner
• Work with supply chain for timely delivery of materials to the shop floor
• Develop and achieve department/company goal and controls
• Actively identify and drive areas of cost reduction, processes, quality and productivity improvements (lean initiatives)
• Promptly inform the relevant departments of changes to the planned production schedule
• Evaluate staffing needs to accommodate current and future production workflows
• Create and implement new tracking measures to improve workflows and efficiencies
• Participate and support Production excellence data gathering and input into global systems for reporting
• Lead daily status update meetings to the workshop team
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to work cross functionally with other leaders in the department to meet customer needs
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Basic understanding in Lean and continuous improvement tools and processes and ability to lead these types of processes/projects is a must
• Self-Motivated and high ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to understand and contribute to strategic goals for the department
