Aegis is currently partnering with a stable long-standing manufacturer in St. Charles to identify a Saw Operator to join their growing team!
Responsibilities:
- Operate a plasma cutting machine to produce steel parts based on simple blueprints and preloaded programs.
- Manage the full process of each job, from loading material and running the machine to finishing.
- Receive a list of jobs at the start of the shift and is expected to pick up where the previous shift left off, ensuring parts are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Hands-on finishing work, such as grinding, sanding, cleaning edges from plasma cutting, marking parts, and delivering finished components to welding or storage areas.
Requirements:
- 1-4+ years of experience operating a CNC Machine.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprint drawings.
- Experience working with basic tools - tape measures, squares, or protractors.
- Ability to work within basic tolerances (approximately ±1/16 inch).
