SAP S/4HANA Architect - ERP

We are seeking a SAP S/4HANA Architect – ERP to design end-to-end architecture for SAP S/4HANA solutions, lead modernization initiatives, and drive the adoption of AI-powered engineering practices across mission-critical ERP implementations.

Responsibilities

• Design the end-to-end architecture of SAP S/4HANA solutions, encompassing ERP modules (FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, PM, QM, HCM) and SAP IS-U (Utilities), and document decisions and trade-offs
• Define integration architecture spanning REST/OData APIs, IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, SAP Integration Suite (CPI), and Event Mesh
• Develop critical areas with the team, including ABAP/ABAP OO customizations and extensions in SAP BTP (CAP, RAP, Fiori Elements)
• Ensure technical quality through ABAP code review, Clean Core standards, automated testing, HANA performance tuning, and observability with Cloud ALM
• Lead modernization and migration efforts, including ECC to S/4HANA conversions and IS-U to S/4HANA Utilities migration
• Apply AI to the development cycle through code assistants for ABAP (Joule, Copilot), test generation, and documentation
• Design solutions with generative AI, including SAP Business AI, SAP AI Core/Launchpad, and RAG on master data
• Evaluate AI-assisted engineering tools and estimate model and infrastructure costs
• Participate in discovery and assessments to understand processes such as Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and IS-U billing cycle
• Build POCs and demo environments in S/4HANA and BTP
• Support the technical preparation of proposals and RFPs, including reference architecture, sizing, assumptions, and risks
• Conduct technical presentations to engineering audiences and the board of directors

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
• 8+ years of experience in SAP projects with mission-critical implementations
• 3+ years of experience in SAP solution architecture with decisions delivered to production
• Knowledge of ERP modules including FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, PM/QM, PS, and HCM, with integrated functional and technical understanding
• Background in SAP IS-U, including Facility structure, Device Management, Smart Metering/AMI, Billing, FICA, EDM, and integration with the energy market
• Expertise in Advanced ABAP OO, CDS Views, AMDP, Enhancement Framework, and BAdIs
• Proficiency in SAP HANA modeling, SQLScript, and optimization, along with Fiori/UI5 and SAP Build Apps
• Familiarity with SAP BTP (CAP, RAP), Integration Suite, API Management, gCTS, and CI/CD for SAP
• Skills in migration tools such as SAP Readiness Check, Custom Code Migration, LTMC, and Data Services
• Understanding of SAP in the cloud, including RISE with SAP, BTP, and HANA Cloud, along with hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) for hybrid scenarios
• Knowledge of SAP Security, including roles, authorizations, SoD, GRC, SAP IAS/IPS, OAuth2, and SAML
• Intermediate/advanced English for documentation and global interaction

Nice to have

• SAP S/4HANA or BTP Architect certification Experience in ECC- S/4HANA conversion projects
• Background in utilities with IS-U and Smart Metering
• Knowledge of SAP Activate and agile methodologies
