Client Overview Our client is a global manufacturing organization undergoing a large-scale SAP transformation. The company operates internationally and is seeking an experienced SAP FICO Analyst – Cost Accounting to play a key role in their North American SAP implementation.
Salary/Hourly Rate $140k - $160k
Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced SAP FICO Analyst – Cost Accounting to support a global SAP S/4HANA implementation. This individual will serve as a key SAP Finance resource in North America and work closely with Corporate Finance and Accounting stakeholders to translate complex financial requirements into effective SAP solutions. Strong cost accounting knowledge, particularly within a manufacturing environment, is essential.
Responsibilities Of The SAP FICO Analyst – Cost Accounting
- Lead and participate in SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations and enhancements.
- Partner closely with Corporate Finance and Accounting teams to gather and translate business requirements.
- Configure and optimize SAP FICO functionality.
- Support key Finance processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and financial close.
- Support Cost Accounting and Controlling processes within a manufacturing environment.
- Integrate SAP FICO with other SAP modules, including MM and SD.
- Participate in testing, UAT, training, and post-go-live support.
- Troubleshoot complex SAP Finance issues and recommend process improvements.
Required Experience/Skills For The SAP FICO Analyst – Cost Accounting
- 5+ years of SAP FICO experience.
- Experience supporting multiple SAP implementation projects.
- Hands-on SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
- Strong Cost Accounting knowledge and experience.
- Strong understanding of corporate Finance and Accounting processes.
- Experience partnering directly with Finance and Accounting stakeholders during SAP implementations.
- Experience with SAP FI and CO functionality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Melville, NY, as required.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.
Preferred Experience/Skills For The SAP FICO Analyst – Cost Accounting
- SAP FICO experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous professional experience working directly in Finance or Accounting before transitioning into SAP.
- Experience with product costing, standard and actual costing, variance analysis, and cost center accounting.
- Experience with SAP Fiori and embedded analytics.
- Experience with the SAP Activate methodology.
- SAP FICO or SAP S/4HANA certification.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Business, or a related field is required.
- A degree in Finance or Accounting is strongly preferred.
