About the role
We are seeking an experienced Interim Sanctions Lawyer to support a leading law firm in London on a temporary basis.
The successful candidate will provide advice on a broad range of UK, EU and international sanctions matters , working on complex and time-sensitive issues across sanctions compliance, licensing, restrictions and transactional queries.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on UK, EU and international sanctions regimes and related regulatory requirements.
- Provide practical guidance on sanctions compliance, restrictions, licensing and transactional matters.
- Support partners and associates on complex and time-sensitive client matters.
- Conduct legal research and analyse evolving sanctions regulations and developments.
- Draft and review legal advice, memoranda and other sanctions-related documentation.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver commercially focused and pragmatic advice.
- Manage competing priorities effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with strong experience in sanctions law .
- Experience advising on UK, EU and international sanctions regimes.
- Ideally gained experience within a leading law firm and/or financial services environment.
- Strong analytical, drafting and legal research skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to time-sensitive matters.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to provide clear and practical legal advice.
