This is a contract opportunity through a consulting firm for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
We are seeking an organized and detail-focused Sample Coordinator to support the day-to-day activities of a creative studio and visual merchandising function. This role will be responsible for keeping product samples organized and accurately tracked while helping the studio team maintain an efficient, well-prepared working environment.
The ideal candidate is comfortable juggling multiple priorities, has strong attention to detail, and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-moving setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the receipt, organization, and distribution of seasonal product samples for creative and visual merchandising initiatives.
- Monitor incoming samples, update tracking information, and follow up on missing, delayed, or outstanding items.
- Keep sample storage areas, including racks, closets, and designated studio spaces, organized and easy to navigate.
- Assist with preparing the studio for photo shoots, creative projects, and visual merchandising activities.
- Help maintain a clean, orderly, and functional studio environment on a daily basis.
- Provide support for seasonal initiatives and assist with the coordination and processing of sample donations.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure samples are available when needed and projects stay on schedule.
- Assist with studio photography and basic sample/product documentation as required.
- Manage competing priorities effectively while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the creative studio team as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in a retail, creative studio, merchandising, operations, or sample coordination environment is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when maintaining inventory, tracking information, and records.
- Clear and professional communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and email; comfortable learning new software and internal systems.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
- Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment where priorities may change quickly.
