Salesforce Administrator

About This Role

This role involves maintaining, configuring, and improving the Memorial's Salesforce environments within the Digital Experience team. Salesforce is central to the Memorial's supporter and visitor data, with ongoing work to integrate it with various platforms. The position balances delivering new functionality with supporting existing features, requiring the successful applicant to comfortably switch between new initiatives and daily administration.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary system administrator for the Memorial's Salesforce environments
• Act as a key point of contact with the Memorial's Salesforce implementation partners
• Handle day-to-day administration, including system monitoring, investigating issues and resolving or escalating them, user management, page layouts, reports and dashboards, and custom fields
• Gather detailed requests for improvements or changes to the system, including the capture of complex user requirements, and implement these changes as appropriate
• Build and maintain automation that reduces manual work for staff
• Manage Salesforce integrations including identifying, installing and maintaining appropriate apps from the AppExchange
• Administer Marketing Cloud Next, including supporting staff who build and send campaigns
• Manage security and access, including profiles, permission sets and sharing rules
• Maintain data quality, including imports, deduplication, data integrity and backups
• Support and train users, including onboarding new staff and maintaining user documentation
• Manage releases, including sandbox testing and deploying changes to production
• Maintain documentation of the Memorial's Salesforce configuration, including customisations, automation and integrations
• Plan for Salesforce's three annual releases, upgrades and longer-term projects

Requirements

• Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS)
• All applicants external to AWM that are offered employment will be required to successfully undergo a National Police Check, even if they currently hold a security clearance. The check is conducted in accordance with the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework requirements

Nice to have:

• Experience administering Marketing Cloud Next
• Salesforce Certified Administrator, or Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator
