Role Description The Sales Team Member role is a full-time, on-site position located in Kearneysville, WV, supporting a State Farm Agent’s office. This role focuses on engaging prospective and existing customers, explaining product options, and recommending insurance and financial services that meet individual needs. Daily responsibilities include handling inbound and outbound calls, scheduling appointments, providing quotes, processing applications, and offering prompt, courteous customer service. The Sales Team Member may also assist with administrative tasks, policy changes, payment processing, and basic office operations, including occasional unloading or organizing office supplies. The role is performance-driven and involves meeting sales goals while maintaining compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and trust with a wide range of customers.
- Customer service experience with a focus on problem-solving, follow-through, and creating positive client experiences.
- Clear and professional communication skills, including active listening and effective written and verbal communication.
- Sales skills, including prospecting, needs-based selling, and the ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Ability to assist with basic physical tasks such as unloading and organizing office materials when needed.
- Comfort working in a goal-oriented environment, with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn office and insurance-related systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in insurance, retail, or financial services is a plus.
- Willingness to pursue any required insurance licenses, with support from the agency.
